About

Mick Gibson

My Journey - After being in the corporate world of telecoms and technology for a number of years, inspired by my wife, I began to explore my creative passions. Woodworking and the arts have always been interests and, with the time to pursue them, I have been able to create a growing number of interesting pieces.

Using a variety of methods, including hand carving and wood turning, I enjoy creating a range of unique and varied items both large and small - everything from sculpture and furniture to children's spinning tops and Christmas decorations.

Local Sustainable Sourcing - The wood I use is primarily found locally within Surrey - often reclaimed timber or felled and fallen trees. I use a range of woods including; Oak, Ash, Yew, London Plane, Aspen, Willow, Wild Cherry, Plum and Sweet Chestnut.

Launching Westview Wood gives me an opportunity to offer my current works for sale and take on new commissions.

Please have a look at my Gallery page to see my current work and contact me for prices.

I look forward to hearing from you!
